So who is Johanna Money?

This is my personal website. You may know me as commercial real estate broker, your landlord, a fellow board member, your child's classmate's mother, Jake's wife, or maybe even the eccentric woman you saw wearing a unicorn headband...

But there's so much more in this pretty head. Sure, I'm a wealth of knowledge on all things light industrial real estate, and I can whip up a party invitation in Illustrator in no time flat, but there are things I think about and read about and talk to myself about that I'd love to get out into the world. So, this is where I will blog and share my thoughts, and hope that you will interact with me so we can start some amazing dialogs about being middle-aged and more than just a title on a business card.

Cheers to the exploration!

My thoughts.

  • Do not let your temporary circumstances define your permanent reality.

    Greg Hartle
  • Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

  • You have only one life and you can spend it living in the shadow of someone else’s destiny, playing it safe and following the well-lit paths, or you can grab a machete and hack down your own.

  • Life can be much broader once you discover one simple fact: Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you and you can change it, you can influence it, you can build your own things that other people can use. Once you learn that, you'll never be the same again.
